Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin is at Bills’ Highmark Stadium supporting his team ahead of their division game against the Cincinnati Bengals. It comes 20 days after Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday night game between the Bills and Bengals.

The Bills tweeted video of Hamlin arriving in a security vehicle, writing, “Welcome home [Hamlin]Hamlin got out of the vehicle and appeared to be walking alone without any assistance.

After spending some time in the dressing room, Hamlin went to a suite. He did not go on the field before the game.

The CBS broadcast showed Hamlin in the first half, and he was seen whipping up the crowd. Hamlin joined the team in the locker room at halftime, according to NFL on CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, with the Bills trailing 17-7.

The safety’s parents and brother are also at the game, while his mother and brother wear No. 3 jerseys.

Hamlin went into cardiac arrest during the Bills’ Week 17 game against the Bengals. He was given CPR and oxygen on the field before being taken to a local hospital and placed on a ventilator. Initially hospitalized in critical condition, Hamlin made incredible progress, moved to a Buffalo hospital, and was eventually discharged.

The 24-year-old has made “remarkable” progress, but still has a long recovery ahead of it.

As he continues to recover, Hamlin has supported the Bills in every way possible during their playoff run. He’s FaceTimed the team, tweeted live through games, and today can be there in person to celebrate the Bills’ second playoff game.

There were reports that Hamlin would be at the team’s wild card game against the Miami Dolphins, but in the end he made the choice to stay home. He wrote on Twitter, “My heart is with my boys as they battle today! Support from home as I focus on my recovery. I want nothing more than to be there with them! LFG.”

The Bills advanced to the division game after beating the Dolphins 34-31 in last week’s wild card round.
